Overview
17Capital, founded in London in 2008 by Pierre-Antoine de Selancy and Augustin Duhamel, invented the modern NAV-finance market — lending against the value of a fund's portfolio so GPs can fund follow-ons, bridge distributions or finance GP commitments without selling assets. Majority-owned by Oaktree since 2022, it closed its first dedicated NAV lending fund at approximately €2.6B in 2023.
